(In de kerstperiode
werden er op verschillende radiostations ‘eeuwige hitlijsten’ uitgezonden,
waarin de luisteraars een Top 100, 200 of zelfs 2000 mochten samenstellen met
hun favoriete songs. Honderden hits werden op de luisteraar afgevuurd en toch kwam ik nauwelijks aan mijn
trekken, vooral omdat de jaren zestig schromelijk onderbelicht werden en de
jaren vijftig al bijna helemaal niet aan bod kwamen. Vandaar deze, volstrekt
onbescheiden, maar even volstrekt nutteloze, poging om een eigen Top 100 samen
te stellen. Liefhebbers van jazz en klassiek: ik heb me toch maar beperkt tot
pop/rock/soul en aanverwanten, sorry. Als je me zou vragen om de lijst volgende week of
volgende maand of volgend jaar opnieuw te maken, zou er van 100 tot 11 een
andere volgorde kunnen staan, zelfs andere nummers. Maar 1 tot 10 zijn toch
flinke evergreens ten huize VL. En, ach ja, ’t is maar een lijstje, vandaar de relativerende titel boven dit stuk.)
